Orbit Sternはインプロヴィゼーションとインストポップによる、デンマーク人とスウェーデン人のデュオグループだ。 かれらは、インプロヴィゼーションやジャズ同様、Jean Michel Jarre、 Ry Cooder、 Daft Punkにインスパイアされている。
ギターの Samuel Hllkvist はオリジナル音楽アルバムを４枚リリースしており、Opposite とTelevision Pickupのメンバーだ。 かれはまた、Tony Levin、Phil Manzanera、Guy Pratt、Pat Mastelotto と共に Ildurs Bane の一員でもある。 Mastelotto とのデュオアルバム Sam & Patは、２０１０年 Jazz In Sweden 賞を Caprice Records と Concerts Swedenから贈られた。
ドラムの Frederik Hauch は ヴォーカルの Budam との共演が多く、また Lost Heroes of the Cutting Room Floor、The Yes Wave、 August and the Red Apple、Southern Gothic Tales のメンバーでもある。 そして、デンマークの Yoyooyoyや Frisk Frugt、そして千住宗臣との共演もよく知られる。
